How a Two-Location Orthodontic Practice Doubled Local Visibility in Los Angeles

Two Los Angeles orthodontic locations competing for the same high-value searches. Local visibility roughly doubled at both, organic leads rose 50%, and the practice took #1 for its core terms in a market where most competitors sit under 20% visibility.

The challenge

An established orthodontic brand that was losing visibility to local competitors

This practice runs two locations in the Los Angeles area with a heavy focus on Invisalign and braces. Los Angeles is a brutal market for orthodontists. Every practice worth its salt is running ads, building links and fighting over the same handful of searches, and even well-established offices struggle to break through.

They weren't starting from scratch. They had a website, they were running Google Ads, and they had decent name recognition. But their organic rankings and map pack presence didn't reflect any of that, so they were leaving patients on the table.

Underneath, the site had structural problems quietly holding it back. Several pages targeted the same keywords, so they competed with each other. Some pages were thin. Others had no internal link support, which left search engines guessing at which pages mattered. Both Google Business Profiles existed but weren't strong enough to compete across a metro this size. And the site buried its reviews and credibility signals, which doesn't help anyone deciding whether to request a consult.

The strategy

How Titan Web Agency rebuilt the search foundation for both locations

Keyword research, then content consolidation

We started by understanding how patients in Los Angeles actually search for orthodontic care, then cleaned up the content: thin pages expanded, overlapping pages consolidated, and authority focused on the pages that carry treatment value.

Internal linking and site architecture

The key treatment pages weren't getting anywhere near enough internal link support, so we rebuilt the architecture to connect them properly to the rest of the site.

Technical SEO and schema

Crawlability issues addressed and schema markup implemented, so search engines had a clean picture of the practice, its two locations and its services.

Both Google profiles optimized

Categories, profile information and the other local ranking factors rebuilt on both listings, so each location had a genuine shot at competing across its own set of Los Angeles neighborhoods.

Conversion rate optimization

Trust signals repositioned across the site, reviews, credentials and credibility indicators moved out of the footer and into the decision, so the traffic we were driving actually turned into consult requests.

Grid measurement across the service area

We measured map pack visibility with a ranking grid across the surrounding service areas rather than from a single point, which is the only way to know whether a multi-location practice is actually covering its metro.

Search visibility is a rank-tracking score for how much of the tracked keyword set a site appears for in its market. It isn't a traffic figure. Most tracked competitors stayed between roughly 2% and 19% over the same period.

The results · Rankings

#1 Ranking for High Value Searches

The practice took #1 positions across its core orthodontic terms, spanning adult, teen and children's treatment as well as clear braces. One clear-braces term jumped more than 80 positions, and several keywords that weren't ranking at all moved directly onto page one.

The results · The map grid

Local-map visibility across the neighborhoods that feed both offices

For orthodontic practices, the local map pack is where a large share of new patients come from. We measured it with a ranking grid across the surrounding service areas. The practice's grid shows #1 or #2 positions across the majority of grid points, spanning the surrounding neighborhoods rather than just the blocks around each office.

For a two-location practice, that kind of geographic coverage adds up fast.

The results · Leads

The business outcome: 50% more organic orthodontic leads

As organic rankings improved across both locations the practice saw roughly a 50% increase in organic leads. Search stopped being a box to check and became a real acquisition channel. Even in a market as competitive as Los Angeles, consistent work moves the needle.

How we measured the results

Search-visibility percentages are market visibility scores from rank tracking, compared between the start of the engagement and the most recent measurement, for each location separately. Keyword positions are from the same rank tracking. Map pack coverage is from a ranking grid measured across the surrounding service areas, compared against tracked local competitors over the same period, most of whom sat between roughly 2% and 19% visibility.

The organic-lead increase is a change in lead volume attributed to organic search across both locations, measured over the engagement rather than a fixed trailing twelve months. There are no guarantees in SEO, ranking today doesn't guarantee the same position tomorrow, and client details are anonymized at the practice's discretion.
