How Two Dallas-Area Dental Offices Made Google Maps Their Largest Patient Source

Two offices in neighboring Dallas suburbs, competing in one of the most saturated dental markets in the country. Over twelve months the practice's two Google Business Profiles became its single largest source of new-patient contact.

Location-level lead tracking on both offices

1,155 tracked patient leads in twelve months, about 96 a month across both offices

Seven in ten of them reached the practice through a Google Business Profile, not the website

19,782 profile impressions and 2,355 direct interactions across the two listings

1,446 direction requests, the clearest signal a patient has already chosen where they're going

The challenge

Why two nearby locations require separate local-growth strategies

Two offices in adjacent suburbs of the same metro creates a specific problem that single-location practices never face. The two locations compete with each other for the same searches. They split the practice's authority across two sets of listings. And a patient searching from the middle can be shown either one, or neither.

Dallas makes that harder again. It's one of the most saturated dental markets in the country, so there's no slack in the auction and no forgiveness in the map pack.

The other thing worth naming: most of this practice's visibility opportunity wasn't on its website at all. It was in the map pack, where the two profiles either show up for a nearby searcher or they don't. So that's where the work went.

The strategy

How Titan Web Agency helped each office compete in its own local market

Two profiles, managed as two businesses

Separate service areas, categories and content for each location rather than one profile duplicated across both, which is what stops the two offices from cannibalizing each other in the map pack.

Local targeting built per market

City and service targeting built separately for each suburb instead of one metro-wide approach, so each office competes in the searches its own neighborhood actually runs.

Lead tracking across both locations

Every call, form and text captured and attributed to the profile or page that produced it, rather than pooled into one practice-wide total that hides which office is growing.

Source-level reporting the practice can act on

Reporting broken out by location and by channel, so the owners can see which office and which source is producing patients and make staffing and budget decisions on it.

For a multi-location practice, that ratio is the whole argument for putting local SEO effort into the listings rather than the site alone.

The results · Profile visibility

Impressions trending up, and turning into visits

Monthly Google Business Profile impressions across both locations rose from roughly 1,500 to 1,600 a month in late 2025 to consistently above 2,000 a month by mid-2026, a 32% lift comparing the most recent full quarter to the same measure at the end of 2025. Over the twelve months the two profiles generated 19,782 impressions, 2,355 direct interactions, 1,446 direction requests and 443 call clicks.

Direction requests are the number worth watching here. A patient asking Google for driving directions to one of these two offices has already chosen. There were 1,446 of them.

The results · Search quality

Less irrelevant visibility, more local intent

Search impressions fell over the period while local positions rose. That's the expected shape when a site stops surfacing for broad, non-local queries it was never going to convert and starts surfacing for the local ones it can. It looks like a decline on a traffic chart and reads as growth on a lead report.

How we measured the results

Google Business Profile impressions, interactions, direction requests and call clicks come from Business Profile Insights via Agency Analytics for the trailing twelve months, aggregated across both locations. Click-through rate from Google search results rose from 0.13% to roughly 0.33% over the same period, measured in Google Search Console by comparing the earliest and most recent months in the window.

Lead figures come from the Titan Web Agency lead-tracking dashboard for the trailing twelve months, counting phone calls, form submissions and text messages across both locations, with Google Business Profile attribution aggregating all profile-tagged sources for both listings.

Lead counts are tracked patient contacts. They aren't booked appointments or new patients, which this practice doesn't currently annotate in the lead dashboard. There are no guarantees in SEO, ranking today doesn't guarantee the same position tomorrow, and client details are anonymized at the practice's discretion.
